About
This trail departs the Skyline or PCT 2000 Trail at Cigar Lake. The route skirts the lake a few hundred feet and then forks off to the left towards the foot of Double Peaks. The route ascends a very steep set of switchbacks to a bench where the route begins to skirt the mountain reaching into a little bowl at the base of a large rock field. The trail then ascends another set of steep switchbacks to the saddle between the two peaks.
This is an exceedingly steep trail. No water beyond Cigar Lake and this should be a filtered source at best.
