Key Stats for the Pansy Lake Trail - 551

About

The Trail Info Sheet has a good description of this trail.  Trail leads to a small, shallow lake.  This is an easy family hike that can get rather busy in the summer months.  It can also make a nice loop hike up to site of the former Bull of the Woods lookout – It was destroyed in the Bull Complex Fire (see Bull of the Woods trail – 550) and return via the Dickey Lake Trail – 549.

Directions

Travel Hwy 224 thru Estacada to Ripplebrook. Continue thru Ripplebrook and immediately after crossing the river, continue straight on Forest Service road 46. Travel approximately 3.5 miles on road 46. Turn right at the junction with Forest Road 63. Stay on road 63 for approximately 5.6 miles and turn right on Forest Road 6340. Travel approximately 7.8 miles on Road 6340 and you will come to a fork in the road (6340 and 6341). Take the right fork (6341) and travel approximately 3.2 miles until you come to the trailhead on your left. The parking area is pretty large. There should be a sign.
