The road in the clearcut appears to follow the general path of the trail. An endeavor for another day
In regards to Goat Mtn, it's flank is covered in old roads and old ATV trails, and most if it is of little historic or scenic value

Good to see that lost trail surviving. From reports over the last few years, it appears to be getting boot traffic. It shaves off many steps as said.
