Eagle Creek Cutoff Status

I ran into a young couple on the Douglas trail yesterday, and they were completing a long loop around Old Baldy, Squaw Mtn, The Plaza and Wildcat Mtn. They had hiked the Eagle Creek Cutoff (No. 504, I think) and reported it to be very passable, though they had also pruned and clear some rough spots along the way. I think this might be just outside the boundaries of this website, but close enough to be of interest, since this route has been quite overgrown in the past. Apparently, some volunteers have been out there!

They also reported seeing ATVs tearing all around Huxley Lake, unfortunately. A continuing problem, sadly. I've seen signs of ATVs there, too, and plenty of damage on the "trails".
