Believe so. Will ask and find out what I can. Will post.

We are still looking for a written reference to this trail.
However, maps from 1927 to 1963 reveal the following.
The trail led from the saddle above the lake along the ridge to the saddle in the virtual center of Section 10. Then it skirts around the south side of Knob Peak to the next saddle where upon it directly ascends the shoulder of Scheiner Peak.
There is a split in the trail from the saddle above the lake to the center on the Section which I suspect is the current route to the lake.
I have been told that it was probably a fireman's trail so it was likely not heavily built or used.
If I were to look for it, I would probably go to the center of the Section and scout both ways.
Will continue asking about it. If you find it I hope you will let us know.

If we could find writings of Prof. Fred J. Schreiner, OSU, regarding his survey work in the area in the 1930s it could be quite interesting.
