Welcome to one of Oregon's newly designated Wilderness areas! This hike takes us through new wilderness, forested plateaus, and the more temperate Cache Meadow. Cool your feet in the lake before catching a perfect glimpse of Mt. Hood and three Washington peaks.
Now Wilderness, the once and former Roaring River Roadless area was the largest unroaded expanse on the Mount Hood National Forest yet to be protected. The River is home to salmon and steelhead as well as steep sloped that provide beautiful views absent the clear-cuts that are so prevalent in other parts of the Northwest
