Wow, you guys are good.....Don gets the prize. It is the lower part of Cottonwood meadows.
What is the "1966 marker" on Alder Flat?
This is a picture taken at a trail junction on current district trails that are in a new wilderness area.

I think you may be right. Alder Flat is too used, but I was thinking it may have been early season with needle scatter.
Speaking of Alder Flat, a tree just missed the sign board at the parking lot when it fell down this last month. I was thinking of going up this weekend and cleaning it up a bit. Anyone want to help?
The marker is where the Job Corps boys who made the trail are appreciated.
The new picture is good. Real good. I know, but I am going to let others play.
Don, that looks like a Ginzu job.

I knew that you would know where the trail was, for I mentioned it to you last year and you knew what I was talking about.
I think a handsaw will be able to cutout the limbs at Alder Flat, for the log itself is out of the way of the parking lot and the trail.
