It looks like it could be one of several trails in our district. So is it partially in one of the new wilderness areas?

Yes. Actually, most of the trail is in a wilderness area. At least as far as I can tell from the maps.

You are correct! Your turn to post a photo. It is my recollection that that photo was taken about half way up the trail from the west end, but my memory may be faulty....
