I think Hillock Cabin was moved down to a farm near the Highway 211. Not sure but I think I was told that some time ago.

Is that the Moore Creek trail on the right on your snippit?

I was looking at the '39 map which is where I found Dodge.  I didn't see it on other maps. I just took a guess based on the distance from Estacada to Dodge and then from Dodge to the trail.  Since it said Clackamas (I was guessing the river), I figured it couldn't be too far from the river:

I guess that means I need to post another photo?

Donavon:

Do you know where the old cabin site was? I haven't looked for it yet, but it would help in connecting the two trails.

Yeah, it shows the old Moore Creek trail. Too bad they logged out the middle section. I am sure that it was a nice trail from the segments I found on both ends. I guess there was a campground up on top.

Rob:

I think it is your turn now, for you were thinking in the right spot. I will have to show you what I know out there sometime this winter. With the warmup we are having, it should push the snow back up to higher elevations for a while anyway. Yippee!

Rob, you are getting as bad as me pouring over old maps late into the night. I know, if you don't, it will keep you awake when you really want to sleep. That trail heading down to the Clackamas River or the North Fork Reservoir nowdays, has always intersted me. I looked for it for a half an hour when I was up there the last time, but didn't see anythig definite.
