Well I would say it's Russ or Jude Lake Trail, the big feature being Olallie Meadow.

But I have never been to Russ or Jude Lake as the horse and mule folks supposenley take care of those trails.

Since nobody has gotten this yet, I'll give an obvious photo. This is the same lake (and it is a fairly large lake), taken from the other side of the lake:

Now, of course, this side of the lake is not in the district. The trail on which the original photo was taken is to the best of my knowledge at the very edge of the district.

Are we looking at what was? I mean like Monon before the fire(s)? Is the little swamp one of the small pools Mon-Olallie Trail side swipes?

No, to the best of my knowledge has not burned.

It's neither Monon nor Olallie Lakes. That should give it away for good. And once again - if the trail in my original photo is technically not in the district then I apologize - if it isn't it's no more than 200 yards outside of it.

Those border regions get complicated...

Its not Timothy lake is it?  I'm not sure there are any trail around that lake, but it is one of the only larger lakes....
