So nobody has even come close to figuring out where that last photo was taken. I'll add another from the same part of the trail, this time looking out upon the main geographic feature in this area:

Boy, that is a tough one....Could it be Squaw Meadows/Lake?  But there isn't really a trail down that way.

Matt, that looks like one of our Surprise Lakes, this one being near the Olallie Lakes Scenic Area.

You are getting warmer. Not one of the Surprise Lakes, but in that area. I should add that this is a pretty well-known lake...but from a different perspective.

The only other lake that I think that looks similiar would be Horseshoe Lake.
