You got it.

I actually found the info for that trail here several years ago.  Doug was the one who posted the thread.  You can read it here - the link is from the historical page towards the bottom there is a link to the old threads in PDF format:

http://www.trailadvocate.org/oldthreads/August%202007%20-%20Short%20trail%20to%20Collowash%20River.pdf

It was several years ago when I hiked this trail, but my recollection was that it pretty much ended at the river.  I think the trail used to keep going, across the river and then up to where the Elk Lake Creek trail starts.  The trail from the road down to the river is in excellent shape and not hard to find.

If anyone would like all of these old PDFs in a zip file, let me know.  I can create one and send it to you, post it here or make some other arrangement.  I don't think the file should be that large.

IMG_2623.jpgWell we all know it isn't Old Baldy, for it isn't bald on Old Baldy as Murphy says.

So D, is this trail in a new wilderness area or just high enough to be in the huckleberries?

Mea culpa,  I meant to say Old Baldy Trail. Embarassed That gives me a few miles of trail anyway, not an unbald Baldy.
