I am going to make some assumptions of your posted photo. Is that Mount Jefferson viewed from the north, lets say from the Olallie Lakes Scenis Area? If my assumptions are correct, I still don't have a clue what trail you are on, just limiting my search.

Could that be the Pyramid Butte Trail off of the PCT way south in the district?
