Speaking about Burnt Granite, that is one trail that needs a lot of help. Bob and I hiked up from the 4650 trailhead up to the saddle at 4500' last Sunday and started to get into some snow. The snow wasn't the problem, all the down trees and rhodies were. I don't think there has been any maintenance on that trail since Donavon was up there last. There is a die off of the pines probably due to mountain pine beetle, that has increased the amount of down trees. We must have crossed 100's of down trees just up to the saddle. The last time I was up there 4 years ago with Rob and Kirk, I think we ran into a dozen or so of down logs. There is a trail wanting some advocates.
