The stream at the bottom of the valley joins the Clackamas. This is a telephoto shot so everything in the distance seems closer.

From past posts here I think most of the audience here has been on this officially abandoned trail.

Well maybe I have been on this trail then.  Is that the silhouette of Mt. Jefferson in the hazy distance?

Nice photo. Too bad our eyes can't do that.

My guess is that you are on the Baty/Joyce Lake Trail.
