First hint, some of the TA veterans have explored another part of this trail

That looks suspiciously like an old roadbed in the Fish creek drainage.

Too easy. I found this spot of interest in the area where the '38 map shows the Cold Springs trail crossing Calico Creek (which the new maps label as Gingham Creek.) it was downstream of Calico Rd. (didn't find a waterfall tho, just a messy creek) 

So somebody post something!
