So it is a process of elimination from here on out as to which trail  in the the  Olallie Lake Scenic Area your on. So is it the Horseshoe Saddle Trail? That is a trail I'm familiar with for it gives the shortest access to the Ruddy Hill Trail. A trail ignored by most, but gives awesome views of Mount Jefferson and the surrounding area.

I've only been there mid-summer so didn't realize the fall color was so strong. Once it was narrowed down so well it struck me that the topography was right.
