I had to go back to your original posting, "Amazingly it's been ten years.", to get the clue. I haven't known you for ten years, so it was a prior find. And the second clue, "both of you guys are on the right exposure". So I figured it must be in the canyon on a southern exposure and it wasn't Cripple Creek and it didn't look like Dry Ridge, so that only left  the Sounds. That part of the trail is one of my favorites, as is the bench area. I'm usually looking up the Roaring River towards the South Fork on that section of trail instead of looking down the Roaring River and over towards Dry Ridge. Good one D 2!

I'll have to get back to you when I can find a photo to post, probably in the morning.
