Well here's a photo. It's not nearly as beautiful as yours was. But hopefully it will be entertaining.

Like I said, it's not a very good photograph. The clue is that there are a lot of these things along this trail, and this tree has two of them.

So Kirk, is this trail near a lookout, and is it in an wilderness area? I have seen several trees like that one, I just can't remember where, but I believe it was near an old lookout site somewhere in our district.

No Don, it's not in a wilderness area but it does connect to at least two lookout sites.

Kirk, is that picture taken from the Rho Ridge Trail. I know that there were a lot of insulators on that trail?
