I was planning on going up the Clackamas tomorrow with this good weather forecasted and do some hiking and was wondering if anyone got out today or last week who might know what the snow level was?

It has been WAY too quiet here of late.....So, tell us Don, did you make it out, and if so, what did you find?

I've been unable to go hiking for a few weeks due to family issues, but I'm hoping I can get out soon.  This weekend would have been a GREAT weekend to go!

Thinking about camping for a couple days at the end of 4611 this coming weekend to "celebrate" my 41st year on this cursed globe.  Hopefully the road hasn't been trenched.

Anyone feels adventureous that's where I'll most likely be.

I did get out on Sunday and  located more of the Upper Clackamas River Trail that I have been working on the last few months when time or weather permitted. I didn't locate alot of footage, but I did learn where the trail wasn't. Some days go that way. The weather was definitely great being in the 70's. This was a main trail and the width of the tread shows.

The trail maintenance has been lacking for sometime.

This next picture is where this section of trail comes to an end at a roadcut. If the log wouldn't have been there I might have stepped off into air and took a tumble down the steep slope.

Other sections of this trail seem like you are on a different continent.

I haven't gotten tired of searching out this trail yet, and the trail hasn't given up all of it's whereabouts yet, so I continue to look for it's path through the forest.

Lookin good Don.  That tread is in really good condition.

Worked all day Sat on greasy engines, Sunday on garden and landscaping.

The hell with that, next weekend in the woods for sure.  I can't make that saw class, I have my kid and don't plan on doing a ton of sawing this year anyway.  Might as well camp.
