A crazier term has never been invented.  But it is true.

I think Donavon said something about the test plot up by Summit Lake when we were looking for some old trails in the area a couple of years ago.

YUM!  Anything to bring in more huckleberries  into the world sounds good to me. Our family usually picks 3-5 gallons a year. Huckleberry pies, jam, ice cream, and this year I thinking of a huckleberry chutney made with the peppers and apples I grow in my garden.

Besides huckleberries are a major food source for a lot of wildlife in our area.

I just hate brushing out trails when the berries are ripe. Cut a branch, eat the berries. Cut another branch, eat more berries. It makes for slow brushing out until you get your fill of them.

I  prefer the blue ones, but will eat the red, purple, or black ones when forced to.
