Well, this wasn't technically a hike, since I rode my brothers quad, but it was a very interesting exploration today.  I've never been to high rock before and we went up to the old lookout site.  This is a FANTASTIC view!  Very interesting place.  Then we rode the quads up the East end of the 4610/Abbot road.  Calling that a road in places is generous.....We rode up to the big slide, and the road is now completely impassible, even with a 4WD.  That washout is BAD!  Even with the quads, we would have had to use the winches to winch up and down hills to get through the slide.  Someone wrote wtih a sharpie on the sign on the east end of the road that it was "winch only":

It was an interesting day to a very interesting place.  The east end of the Abbott road is VERY cool.  Beautiful forests and views.  I will be going back to visit again.....
