I was just looking through the FS website, seeing if they quietly abandoned any other trails, and happened to notice an entry for the "Frazier Turnaround Trailhead". It says on the info page that there are 2 Pit Toilets. I don't ever remember seeing any at the turnaround and I was just there last year. Does anyone know - are they really there and I've never seen them?
There were two at the Campground back up the road a hair where the Indian Ridge track heads off. But they were rough the last time I saw them.

Hmm - the last time I was up that road/trail was several years ago, and I don't remember seeing anything in the way of outhouses - just a couple of picnic tables and fire rings (and those weren't in great shape). Maybe I just missed them.
That's what's at the Turnaround. the camp is up a short steep ramp to the right just befor the Turnaround.
That said, it has been a while since I have been up there but I highly doubt the agency tore it up. It's too rough a trip for them to get to.

I will have to look closer when I go up there this summer - on my list of TODOs is to go do some more searching for the elusive South Fork trail - The aerial views of some of those rockslides seems to look like tread - I want to go over there and explore.
Can you tell me exactly where the old trail used to take off from the Serene Lake trail? Was it at one of the 90 degree turns on the trail? Don said he did it several years ago, but when we were up there last summer, we couldn't find the junction - of course we didn't spend too long since we had to get back.
