After sending in my first comment, I re-looked at roads leading to obscure trails or other things, and came up with this list of roads to existing and/or abandoned trails (that aren't main roads):

Anyone have any other lightly used roads that I might have missed?

Rob, thanks for doing this.  I have a few additions/refinement to suggest:

4600-380   Red Lake trail

4630         Cripple Creek trail (Pipeline Rd)

4650         Burnt Granite north trailhead

4670-220   Mt. Lowe trail

5830         Cottonwood Meadows and Rimrock trailheads

5830-210   provides access to as-yet undiscovered (but on my list) segment of trail east from Cottonwood Meadows to Shellrock Creek

6310-040    Rho Ridge north trailhead

6310-270    Burnt Granite south trailhead

6340-140    Dickey Creek trailhead (recently relocated)

6341          I think you meant Pansy Lake trail, not Pyramid Lake

6355          Rho Ridge south trailhead and Hawk Mtn

7020-028    Whetstone Mtn trailhead

Until they take out the dams, I believe 4630 will be safe.

I also think that we will retain access at the power lines. That helps north end of Rho Ridge, the Baty Butte/Joyce Lake trail, Fish Lake.

We need to prepare to kiss 7010-160 goodbye. Several of us have spend time scouting that trail down to 7010.

I would be nice to keep higher access to some point along the Fish Creek Divide since we don't really have anything left trail wise that starts low and heads up there.

Doug:

I will add these to my list.  For Pyramid Lake, I actually meant 58-140 - I knew I would screw up at least one of the roads.

The 4650 road I kind of passed on since the lower section has already been removed.  Some of the others I didn't include because I thought they were safe, but maybe I shouldn't make that assumption.

For 7010-160 - I really don't see why that needs to be decommissioned - it is in GREAT shape - better than many secondary roads.  I'm going to put it on my list regardless.  If no one says anything, it won't get considered for retention.  If they do remove it, hopefully we can scout out that old trail down to 7010 - I know several people have found segments.  So many old trails.....

There is only one other I can think of, the 5411-180 spur is a long 2 mile spur road that would further impede access to the Pup Creek/backdoor FCM trail if it were decommissioned. I have a feeling they might have it on their list already as it's quite brushy.
