I went up to Memaloose Lake today. Road was almost snow free - no snow at all until just before the junction of 45 and 4550 (the right turn about a mile before the trailhead). The trail was in good shape, although there were 3 trees over the trail. One of them is going to be very difficult to remove with crosscut saws:
When I got to the lake there was a little snow, but the lake is still pretty much frozen:
The trail up to South Fork Mountain still had too much snow on it. 18-24" in spots, so I turned around. All in all a beautiful day, and shortly we will have access to our higher elevation trails. It seems like the snow level is right around 4000'.
