I did a little hike up the Cripple Crrek Trail #703 is afternoon to check trail for fallen logs and the snow level. There were 3 logs between trailhead at Three Lynx and first road crossing at about 3000 feet which was also where I started to get into snow. Eventhough it was overcast it never really rained the three hours I was out there.

It was dark in the woods, but the only thing you could hear was the creek rushing down the canyon.

The view across the Clackamas River up towards Fish Creek Mtn from the talus slope near the bottom of the trail.This is also the spot that has the most poison oak along the trail so be aware. I turned around at 3pm so I could get home for dinner at 5pm.
