Just HOW buggy is the area at the end of June? Mosquito hell?

10 days off! Thinking of either the Clackamas or the Ochocos. It's a lot harder when ya gotta please the non-regular campers. Me I'll camp (almost) anywhere.

I do not know the answer to your question, but my guess would be this year may be exceptionally bad in late June due to the late snowmelt we had.
My daughter is a magnet for bugs, and last year she wanted to try one of those new fangled "off" doo dads. I'm curious if they work or not. A few years ago we tried the electronic bug repellent and they were more than useless.

You're probably right. So far it hasn't been too buggy out there but it's still early.
Hopefully no biting flies this year!
