What are your goals for 2010, as far as trails in the district?

With the extra help we are suppose to have next summer to deal mainly with brushing and tread issues on our district trails, leaving the regular trail crew to do the cutting out of those trails, what might be some of our goals for 2010?

- finishing painting Hawk Mtn cabin

- cutout that large log on the trail next to High Lake, leaving some rounds for the campsite

- finish locating the Cougar Creek Trail

- cutting out Switch Creek

I will think of others later.

Rimrock near Cottonwood needs serious brushing out.

702 sign up in Cache.

Cottonwood clearcut area.

Rho Creek clearcut tread work.

That's all I can think of offhand!  I'm sure most of the trails on the district could use some brushing out...

What about upper Cripple Creek?  That seems to always be really brushy thru that clearcut.

Winter sucks.  Can you feel the walls closing in????

I'll betcha that even with the extra help, they won't get to as much as we'd like.  There will still be a lot of work needed on active system trails.  It's a big district.

I'd like to get the Old Skyline Trail fully chased down and flagged.

I would be willing to help wtih that project.  I don't have a lot of time to devote to maintenance, but I'd like to help more when I can.  Don had kind of gotten me hooked on exploring old/abandoned trails.
