Word has it we have lost access to the trail house in Ripplebrook. What the hell?
What is to become of all the tools, signs, and Guy Stuff still up there?
I am getting very frustrated with the Forest Service. One thing after another...they don't even know our names after years of hard work?
Who the hell are they going to get to fix trails in the Clackamas? I don't see lines of people knocking on their door. I am a volunteer, not a "resource" to be "utilized". Soon there will be no one left.
That is really sad......But not altogether unexpected given the departure of Jaquelyn. I think it was she who made the difference because she cared. My guess is that most of the FS guys don't care too much.
As for who will do the work, I'm guessing it is guys like this:

This is from his signature (whatever that means):
USFS/MHF/Clackamas River Ranger District Volunteer, Clackamas Dump Stopper Program Volunteer, US Forest Keepers Wilderness Ecology Specialist
Most of those guys stay on the popular trails, the gorge for example.
No one is going to hack away at the forgotten trails with automatic gunfire in the distance like us fools. No glory in it.
