New map on Trail Index page

I've spent some time creating a new map with all of the trailheads in the district on one map.  You can zoom in an click on any of the TH icons to see the name of the trailhead, and also (for most trails) a link to the trail page, the USFS info page, a more detailed map, and also the GPS Track.

Take and look and see what you think.  Personally, I think it is kind of interesting - it helps you see where we have clusters of trails, and where we have none.

The new map is right on the trail index page, click on the Trail index in the menu - you can't miss it.

I've made updates to the map, so now it shows all the trails that we have GPS tracks for.  You can zoom in and out to see the detail, and also show the map full screen if you want.

There might be a multitude of data entry errors on it, but I've checked a few times and I think it is working OK.

If anyone sees any issues, or has GPS tracks for missing trails, please let me know.

Wow!

That is one neat feature. I won't ask how but I can sure appreciate it without understanding it.

Thank you for all the technical work you do to keep this boat afloat.

I'll second that. And move that, many brownie points be awarded to Mr. Williams!

Let me know if you find any mistakes in the map.  I'll just say that it was a lot of very tedious data entry/copying and I could have made a LOT of mistakes.  So, if you see a trailhead in the wrong spot, or links for the wrong trail, please let me know.

I really like the fact that once you zoom in you can change the map to a topo map to see more detail.  The topo map at the level to see all the trails seemed too busy to me, so I left it at "terrain", which doesn't show as much detail.

The work I do for the site is a labor of love, but thank you.  It was really interesting to do that map.
