Well I'd say you are on the Aboriginal Trail, still east of the drop to Salmon Lake.

So that's what they call that trail. I was calling it the Salmon Lake Trail. Awesome views up there and we even saw a mountain goat on top of Iron Mtn. Hope to get out there again this summer to do more exploring, trails, trails, everywhere. So this means you get to post one or we can open it up to anyone if you don't have one.

 an old road, where?

I'm not sure this is correct, but it looks similar to the old "fishermans trail" up the north side of the North Fork of the Clackamas (right off North Fork reservoir  - WOW that is a lot of "north"s!)
