If it was not a fence, those posts looked EXACTLY like fence posts. It is hard to see in the photo, but to the right is an open area.
You are a bit too far north.
A second clue - this section of trail is VERY near a road.
I think you are at Olallie Meadow, just north on the old road that parallels the new.
I recall indication of fencing at Olalile Meadow. It may have been fenced at one time.

Close enough! We weren't on the old road, but we were on what I think was the old Skyline trail where it entered Olallie Meadow. It is just thru the trees from where that outhouse is at the campground. You can see a few blazes and recognizable tread for quite a ways. We found probably at least half a dozen old fence posts - some in the dirt, some still standing.
