I was just looking at the topo map for the Twin lakes trail when I noticed a number of trail tracks on the north side of Battle creek. I have never seen these on any other map, has anyone been up that way. I have wanted to go up to the falls below lower Twin lake for some time, have you been there?

I had never seen those before....I was in that area this summer and don't recall seeing any trail junction from the motherlode trail, but I wasn't really looking, either. Based on the look of the trails, I'm guessing they were built to a lesser standard and probably either are gone or are tough to follow. If the routes can be believed, several of them don't look like they really go anywhere.
It would be interesting to see if they are real or someone's imagination, though. It will be interesting to see if they open the wilderness back up before winter, though.
