Hello, my article and photos are in the Sept. 2012 issue of VW Camper & Bus! My first time getting published no less.
What does this have to do with the Clackamas? Have you lost your mind, Bob?
While the article itself is about road trips based from Portland, there are a few photos of camping in MHNF and of course the Clackamas RD.
It is published in the UK which has quite a VW Bus following. They are indeed great vehicles for crazy backwoods, even considering their 2-wheel drive.

Hey Bob!
Congratulations on your article! Things sure have been quiet around here lately.....I think I may have seen you last weekend up at Twin Springs. I hiked the east end of Old Baldy and when I got to the end, I saw a VW Camper parked next to the trail just off the road and when I went out to the road I saw another one up at Twin Springs. I would have stopped to say hi, but I was kind of in a hurry to turn around and get back down to Squaw Meadows. It was a great hike.
Thank you!
I have posted the article on my blog for those of you unable to find a copy.
