Hi Pete:

I'm assuming you are talking about the west end of the grouse point trail that heads down to the Roaring River?  It has probably been 3 years since I've been there, and it didn't seem much better or worse than the prior times I've been down it.  The road has been bermed and the trail is rather faint in spots but as long as you pay attention, it is followable down to the river.

They also bermed the entrance to the Huxley Lake trail - I'm assuming to try and keep OHVs out of that area - they had done some pretty extensive damage around Huxley lake.
