Key Stats for the Monon Lake Trail - 729

About

The info sheet is quite thorough.  There has been a large burn which has altered some of the aesthetics of this delightful trail, arguably making it more interesting.  The trail does not go completely around the lake.  The west side requires a bit of road walking to complete the entire loop.

Monon Lake was named by forest ranger Joe Graham. The name was selected because it had a pleasing sound.1

Mangriff Lake south of Olallie Lake was named for Mangold Griffith, a fish biologist and one-time purchasing agent for the Oregon Fish and Game Commission.1
